This blog originates from a 2011-2012 HEA/JISC-funded project that aims to produce open educational resources (OERs) for use by educational developers within accredited programmes and courses in higher education. Many such educational development programmes are delivered to groups of academic staff from a wide variety of disciplines, so it can be difficult to include a discipline-based element.

These OERs are being produced, therefore, to provide ideas and materials that will enable generic programmes to raise awareness of and address disciplinary ways of thinking and practising.

This blog, therefore, provides two services: firstly a link to the resources created and released under the  Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0 UK: England & Wales License by the project with an opportunity for potential users to review and comment, and secondly it offers a forum for the discussion around the idea of disciplinary ways of thinking and practising.
